Boundaries and Balance

I often find myself caught up in helping to resolve the issues and challenges of others, while my own “priorities” take second place.

When faced with the consequences, I can only observe that I made the choice. I failed to set boundaries, failed to acknowledge that I must attend to my own needs first, before I can truly be of service to others.

I need rest, nourishment, enlightenment, space, reflection, direction, and balance.

I need to learn how to say, “Yes, but not now, not today; not tonight; not on the weekend. That’s my time for me, for my family. How about another day, maybe next week during lunch?”

What about you? Do you find yourself running out of time to do the things you need to do for you? It may be time to take a second look at how you establish the boundaries and balance in your life.

Our Clue:

To live a life of service, we must focus first on our own path.
